At the 18th session, the 16th Hai Phong City People's Council has just passed Resolution No. 06/2024/NQ-HDND regulating the increase in collection levels, collection, payment, management and use of fees for visiting scenic spots in the area.
The Resolution is applied and takes effect from August 1 for domestic and foreign organizations and individuals visiting scenic spots in Hai Phong City; agencies, organizations and individuals related to the collection, payment, management and use of fees for visiting scenic spots in this city.
Cat Ba archipelago in Hai Phong city will apply a new entrance fee of 40,000 VND for adults.
Accordingly, the entrance fee to the bays of Cat Ba archipelago has been increased from 80,000 to 120,000 VND for adults; from 40,000 to 60,000 VND for children.
In addition, the entrance fee at some scenic spots has also been adjusted to increase: Hoa Cuong Cave increased to 30 thousand VND/person; Cat Ba National Park is 160 thousand VND/person; the route of the center of the garden - Kim Giao peak - Ngu Lam peak - Trung Trang cave increased to 120 thousand VND/person; the route of Dong Ninh Tiep and Tien Duc cave and the route of Phu Long - mangrove forest - Thien Long cave increased to 80 thousand VND/person; Hon Dau island is 20 thousand VND/person.
For the tour price of the bays in Cat Ba archipelago, if staying at sea for 1 night, the fee is 300,000 VND, 2 nights is 500,000 VND, 3 nights is 650,000 VND/person. The fee for children will be reduced by 50%.
According to regulations, some cases are exempted from entrance fees when visitors are delegations, guests of the city; people with severe disabilities; passengers participating in traffic other than sightseeing and tourism purposes on inland waterway routes; children under 6 years old or children under 1.2m tall; students of primary, secondary and high schools in the city organize annual extracurricular tours with registration with the unit directly managing the scenic spot.
The fee collection level and organization are implemented by Hai Phong City and applied from August 1.
Cases eligible for a 50% reduction in entrance fees include: Senior citizens (Vietnamese citizens aged 60 or older); people who enjoy preferential policies on cultural enjoyment as prescribed in Article 2 of Decision No. 170/2003/QD-TTg dated August 14, 2003 of the Prime Minister; poor households (with confirmation from local authorities), ethnic minorities in communes with particularly difficult socio -economic conditions; experts researching scenic spots.
In addition, students of universities, colleges, vocational high schools and vocational schools in Hai Phong City whose schools organize annual extracurricular tours and register with the units directly managing scenic spots will also receive a 50% discount on tour fees.
