Hai Van Pass started collecting entrance fees on June 2nd.
The information was announced by the Hue Ancient Citadel Conservation Center on May 30th. Accordingly, the entrance fee for tourists visiting Hai Van Pass is 70,000 VND per person per visit, regardless of whether they are domestic or international visitors. This price will be in effect until December 31st, 2028.

Hai Van Pass, located atop the Hai Van mountain pass, is renowned as "the most magnificent pass in the world."
Hai Van Pass is located at the summit of Hai Van Pass, at an altitude of over 500m above sea level, right on the border between Hue City and Da Nang City. It is a special national historical monument and a rare structure in Vietnam jointly managed by two localities.
Built during the reign of Emperor Minh Mạng in 1826, this structure once served as a crucial military gateway protecting the capital city of Huế. Thanks to its strategic location and majestic mountain and sea scenery, it has long been known as "the most magnificent pass in the world."
Previously, at the end of 2021, Thua Thien Hue province (formerly) and Da Nang city jointly invested approximately 42 billion VND to comprehensively restore Hai Van Pass after many years of deterioration. The project was completed in early 2024.
On August 1, 2024, the site officially opened to visitors after the two localities agreed on a plan for managing and exploiting the heritage value.
