The 750 billion VND underpass is under construction after only 7 months.

The 750 billion VND Co Linh underpass project is under construction amidst heavy traffic in Hanoi. The project promises to reduce congestion and improve traffic in the area.

The Co Linh underpass project has a total investment of approximately 750 billion VND, with the Hanoi City Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board as the investor. The project is being built at the Co Linh - Vinh Tuy Bridge intersection, connecting Ring Road 2 with Dam Quang Trung Street, Vinh Tuy Bridge, and residential areas in the eastern part of the capital.

According to the design, the underpass is approximately 600m long in the Vinh Tuy - Long Bien direction and vice versa, with a cross-section width of 27m and 6 lanes. The project includes a closed tunnel section, an open tunnel section, retaining walls, and connecting access roads.

The building is located on a major traffic artery with high vehicle density at the eastern gateway to the capital.

Upon completion, the Co Linh - Vinh Tuy intersection area will form a three-tiered transportation system including an overpass, existing roads, and an underpass, contributing to reducing congestion, increasing traffic flow, and completing Hanoi's Ring Road 2.

Workers are gathering steel and other materials for the construction of the tunnel's structural components.

Both sides of the intersection were fenced off with corrugated iron, and construction was carried out simultaneously while traffic continued to flow.

Numerous excavation, foundation treatment, and retaining wall construction projects are underway beneath the overpass.

Underground structures, steel frames, and tunnel retaining walls are gradually becoming visible after months of construction.

Construction machinery is operating in the tunnel excavation area, preparing for the next structural work.

Construction is being carried out on both sides of the intersection, while traffic flow through the area is maintained.
