In each of his concerts, Hamlet Truong still maintains the habit of choosing a song by musician Tran Le Quynh to start the program. This makes some audiences wonder.
Hamlet Truong confided that he has loved Tran Le Quynh's music for more than 20 years. Currently, musician Tran Le Quynh does not live in Vietnam but works and settles in England. The messages exchanged between the two are mostly about asking about each other's health and expressing their love for each other's compositions.
One day, Hamlet Truong boldly asked for permission to make an album of Tran Le Quynh's music and the musician immediately agreed. After more than 5 years of preparation, Hamlet Truong officially released the album "Quynh" including famous songs by musician Tran Le Quynh such as "Tuyet roi mua he", "Khi me khoc", "Nhung o cua xanh", "Mua ha cuoi cuoi cuoi"...
The album was filmed simply with stage sets. The songs were newly arranged, focusing on emotion and simplicity.

It is rare in the Vietnamese music industry for a musician to release an album singing songs by other musicians. Hamlet Truong shared: "Singing other people's compositions gives me an interesting experience. Musician Tran Le Quynh is very private and does not live in Vietnam, but he was very happy when I announced that the album was completed."
When asked if he was worried about being compared to other singers who have performed Tran Le Quynh’s songs, Hamlet Truong said: “Tran Le Quynh’s songs have become immortal. Singing an old song of his is just a little new color. Each audience will choose the voice that suits their soul.”
Regarding the 5-year album project, musician Hamlet Truong shared: "There were times when I felt I was not mature enough to sing and could not find a suitable time for the project. Luckily, by the middle of this year, inspiration returned and it only took me 1 month to complete the project."
