Ms. Le Thuy Chi, Director of the Ho Chi Minh Museum in Hue City, said that the museum is implementing a project to preserve and restore the historical site of the burial place of Ms. Hoang Thi Loan, President Ho Chi Minh's mother, at Ban Mountain, An Cuu Ward.
The project will renovate several items such as the memorial house, steps, and the courtyard in front of the memorial house. The access road to the historical site will be widened, repaired, and paved with tiles.

The investor will also construct a new entrance gate to the historical site using reinforced concrete and a yellow glazed tile roof; build a retaining wall at the entrance gate; and repair the site's signage.
In addition, the Ho Chi Minh Museum in Hue City also renovated the landscape, built a soft fence adjacent to residential areas, planted additional shade trees and fruit trees in vacant lots; provided stone benches, installed a lighting system along the pathways, a watering system for plants, and security cameras.

According to the Ho Chi Minh Museum in Hue City, the burial site of Mrs. Hoang Thi Loan has been recognized as a provincial-level historical relic since 2008.
Previously, in 1990, to commemorate the 100th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birth, the city of Hue built a memorial stele for Mrs. Hoang Thi Loan right on the site of her former burial place.
By 2023, the site continued to be renovated and expanded, with the construction of walking paths, resting areas, and the planting of more suitable flowers and shade trees.
For the past 35 years, the memorial monument has been managed and renovated by the Ho Chi Minh Museum in Hue City, becoming a significant spiritual site commemorating President Ho Chi Minh's beloved mother.
According to historical records, Ms. Hoang Thi Loan was born in the year Mau Thin (1868) in Hoang Tru village, Kim Lien commune (formerly Nam Dan district), Nghe An province.
In 1881, she married Mr. Nguyen Sinh Sac and subsequently gave birth to three children: Nguyen Thi Thanh, Nguyen Sinh Khiem, and Nguyen Sinh Cung (President Ho Chi Minh).
In 1895, Mrs. Hoang Thi Loan and her husband brought their two sons, Nguyen Sinh Khiem and Nguyen Sinh Cung, to live in Hue at the house within the Citadel (now the Ho Chi Minh Memorial House, 158 Mai Thuc Loan Street, Phu Xuan Ward, Hue City).
On February 10, 1901, she fell seriously ill and passed away, and was buried on the slopes of Mount Ban, Thuy An commune (now An Cuu ward, Hue city).
In 1922, her remains were brought back to her hometown of Nghe An by her daughter, Nguyen Thi Thanh, for burial.
