Deadline for Quang Nam Club before being wiped out

Vietnam Professional Football Joint Stock Company (VPF) has issued an ultimatum to Quang Nam Club after sending two official dispatches without receiving a response.

On July 23, VPF sent another document to Quang Nam Club to reconfirm their registration for the 2025-2026 season. Accordingly, the deadline for Quang Nam Club to respond is 5:00 p.m. on July 23.

If after this time, Quang Nam Club does not have a written confirmation of registration to participate, it will be considered as officially withdrawing and not participating in the 2025-2026 national professional football tournaments.

The next step is for VPF to report to the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) to resolve related issues.

On July 22, VPF sent document No. 257 to Quang Nam Club to request a specific report on information related to participation in the 2025-2026 season, but there was no response.

Quang Nam Club is "calling for help" from the People's Committee of Da Nang City to call on local businesses to join hands and contribute to sponsor the team after Quang Nam merged into Da Nang from July 1.

Due to the withdrawal of the old sponsor, Quang Nam FC is on the verge of dissolution. The players and staff of the team will be merged intoSHB Da Nang FC. The V-League spot is left open before the season.

It was not until now, 25 days before the opening day, that Quang Nam Club decided not to continue maintaining the team. The players were given the opportunity to leave to find new opportunities.

Quang Nam Club also withdrew from the friendly tournament being held at Tam Ky Stadium, which they were the co-organizer of. This happened so quickly that the organizers were surprised and had to find a way to deal with it.

The fate of Quang Nam Club may be decided after 5:00 p.m. on July 23.
