On April 1, Vingroup Corporation (stock code: VIC) announced the transfer of all shares in Movian AI Artificial Intelligence Research and Application Joint Stock Company. After the transaction, Movian AI is no longer a subsidiary of Vingroup.
This morning, April 2, the website of Qualcomm - the leading US chip company announced the acquisition of MovianAI. The value of the deal was not disclosed.

Qualcomm buys Vingroup's artificial intelligence company
Qualcomm said that Mr. Bui Hai Hung, co-founder and CEO of Movian AI, will join the company.
Qualcomm, known for its Snapdragon chips, is a major smartphone chip supplier and is benefiting from the smartphone market.
In Vietnam, the chipmaker opened a research and development (R&D) center in Hanoi in 2020. This is also the company's first R&D facility in Southeast Asia. The center focuses on wireless technology (4G, 5G) and the Internet of Things (IoT).
Nvidia previously acquired Vingroup's artificial intelligence company VinBrain. The deal was announced when CEO Jensen Huang visited Vietnam in late 2024.
