Dozens of people are searching for a 6th-grade girl swept away by floods in Da Lat.

By the evening of May 24th, approximately 60 people from the functional forces of Lang Biang ward, Da Lat ( Lam Dong province ) were still searching for a 6th-grade female student who was swept away by floodwaters after heavy rain occurred in the area that afternoon.

According to initial information, the incident occurred at approximately 1:30 PM in the stream area bordering the B'Nơr B and Đăng Gia Dềt B residential areas, Lang Biang ward, Da Lat.

At that time, it was raining heavily, and water was flowing rapidly from upstream. While passing through this area, a 6th-grade female student (whose identity is unknown) was swept away by the current.

As soon as the incident was discovered, local residents and authorities organized a search party to spread out downstream of the stream.

By 7 PM that same day, approximately 60 people from various units in Lang Biang ward, Da Lat, were still actively searching but without success.

On the afternoon of May 24th, a very heavy thunderstorm occurred in the central area of ​​Da Lat and Lac Duong, with some areas experiencing hail for a short period.

Due to heavy rainfall, water from upstream is flowing into the streams at high rates. Local authorities are warning residents to be prepared for potential flooding, flash floods, and landslides in the coming hours.
