Báo Thanh niênBáo Thanh niên15/03/2023

For the domestic market, Vietnam Airlines Group is preparing maximum resources for the peak holiday season of April 30 - May 1 and summer 2023. Airlines operate dense flight frequencies on routes connecting the three major cities of Hanoi, Da Nang, and Ho Chi Minh City, focusing on round-the-clock time slots every day. Every day, there are expected to be nearly 30 round-trip flights between Hanoi - Ho Chi Minh City and more than 35 round-trip flights between Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City - Da Nang. Flight frequencies may continue to increase during holidays and summer peaks.

Notably, all Vietnam Airlines flights between Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City between 06:00 and 21:00 are operated by modern wide-body aircraft Airbus A350 and Boeing 787 with superior amenities.

For the international market, the airline will reopen, open new routes and increase the frequency of a series of international routes during this period, marking the almost complete restoration of the international flight network after 1 year since Vietnam opened its doors to international visitors in March 2022. Since opening its doors to international visitors, the airline has transported more than 3.4 million international visitors. The number of seats provided in the period from April 2023 to October 2023 will increase 2.6 times compared to the same period in 2022.

Accordingly, the airline plans to restore frequencies on routes to Europe, Australia, China, Hong Kong and Cambodia; and increase flights during peak seasons on routes to Japan and Korea.

In Europe, the airline increased the frequency from 6 to 7 flights/week on the Hanoi - Paris (France) route, from 8 to 10 flights/week on routes to Germany, from 3 to 5 flights/week on routes to the UK. On the Australian route, the airline increased from 6 to 7 flights/week on the Ho Chi Minh City - Sydney and Ho Chi Minh City - Melbourne routes.

In Asia, the airline resumed operations on routes between China and Da Nang from April 27. From July, Vietnam Airlines increased the frequency of flights to daily on routes from Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City to Hong Kong and Da Nang to Narita (Tokyo, Japan). In July and August 2023, the airline plans to increase the frequency of flights from Ho Chi Minh City to Narita (Tokyo, Japan) from 11 to 14 flights/week, operate wide-body aircraft on the Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City to Busan (South Korea) routes and add flights from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to Siem Reap (Cambodia).

In order to stimulate tourism in the coming time, Vietnam Airlines will promote its traditional promotional sales program, Hello Summer and Hello Fall 2023, as well as participate in tourism promotion at domestic and foreign destinations, especially destinations with rich tourism potential but not yet known to many tourists.

At the same time, the airline focuses on upgrading the quality of its products and services to meet the increasing demands of passengers, with a focus on maximizing the exploitation of its modern wide-body fleet, providing world-class services and a comprehensive customer care system. To enjoy attractive incentives, Vietnam Airlines recommends that passengers plan to buy tickets early and buy in groups.
