TPO - In the last days of May, tens of thousands of people in Hai Phong flocked to Do Son beach to cool off after days of record-breaking heat.

In late May, Hai Phong experienced record-breaking hot weather that lasted for several days, making the air in the city center stifling and humid. Many families went to Do Son beach to cool off.

According to our reporter's observations, the natural beach in Zone 2 of Do Son is always packed with people swimming on weekends.

Mr. Nguyen Hau (40 years old, residing in Le Chan district) said that last week, Hai Phong was one of the localities that recorded a record-breaking, prolonged heatwave. In the city center, the air was stifling and humid from early morning until evening. Taking advantage of the fact that his children had just finished the school year, he took his whole family to Do Son beach for fun and to cool off by swimming.

Do Son boasts numerous spacious beaches capable of accommodating tens of thousands of people. Just a 20km drive will take you to enjoy a refreshing swim and play in the natural sea breeze for free. Simply pack some snacks and the whole family can enjoy a relaxing weekend getaway.

Ms. Hue (from Hai An district) said that every weekend she and her husband take their young children to the long white sand beach in Do Son. Here, the beach slopes gently, allowing children to freely play in the sand, enjoy experiential games, and cool off in the water, while also limiting their use of phones and watching TV during the summer.

In recent years, many beaches and tourist areas in Do Son have been invested in and upgraded, attracting many tourists from other provinces and foreign visitors.

To ensure the safety of tourists, the People's Committee of Do Son Ward maintains permanent teams to ensure security, safety, and rescue at the beaches under local management. Inter-agency forces are constantly on duty, using loudspeakers to provide guidance and warnings, and are ready with contingency plans when needed.
