On the afternoon of February 18, the traditional boat race was held on the Mai Giang River (Quynh Phuong Ward, Hoang Mai Town, Nghe An ). This is one of the attractive activities within the framework of the Con Temple Festival and attracts tens of thousands of visitors to watch and cheer. The boat race is not only to demonstrate solidarity but also an opportunity for teams and racers to "show off" their strength and experience. |

There are 8 teams participating in this year’s boat race. Among them are teams from wards and communes in Hoang Mai town and guest racing teams from other localities. |

The racing teams are divided into 2 groups, competing in 2 rounds, each round has 4 teams racing. After 2 rounds, the Organizing Committee will choose the 4 first and second teams of the 2 groups to continue to compete in the final match. |

The race track is a 500 m long section of the Mai Giang River, both ways. The racing teams start from Quynh Phuong Bridge, row 250 m, and return to the starting point. |

The boats used for the race are festival dragon boats. Each team has 24 athletes selected from skilled rowers, with good health and extensive experience on the water. In addition to the rowers, some teams also arrange for flag-wavers to encourage the members to compete. |
