One of the highlights is the organization of a booth to promote and advise on social insurance and health insurance policies and support people to participate in the Lao Cai International Tourism Fair 2025 - a place where cultural identity, tourism development and community interests converge. With the motto of "taking people as the center of service", this activity has contributed to bringing social security policies closer to all classes of people, creating a friendly and professional image of the social insurance industry in the digital transformation period.

Within the framework of the Lao Cai International Tourism Fair taking place from June 5 to June 8, 2025, the booth of the XVII Social Insurance Agency arranged a direct consulting team to provide information, support, and answer questions about compulsory social insurance policies, voluntary social insurance, family health insurance, benefits when participating in health insurance, and at the same time guide the installation and use of the VssID application... The consulting team also focused on disseminating new points in the Law on Social Insurance and Health Insurance in an easy-to-understand and familiar way for the people.
In particular, the promotion of information technology applications such as online registration for social insurance and health insurance, using VssID instead of paper cards has brought many practical benefits, especially for young tourists, freelance workers and those who access the policy for the first time. The booth has become a meaningful stop, attracting a large number of people, workers and tourists from all over the world to visit, learn and connect with social security policies.
On the first day of the fair, the booth attracted many visitors to consult and directly support , including cases of registering for voluntary social insurance and family health insurance right at the booth. The professionalism, friendliness and dedication of the social insurance staff left a positive impression on many people and visitors from all over.
At the voluntary social insurance policy consultation booth organized by the Social Insurance Agency of Region XVII, many people also proactively came to find out information. Among them was Ms. Tran Khanh Ly - a small business owner in Coc Leu Ward, Lao Cai City - who approached the policy for the first time but quickly decided to participate.
Ms. Tran Khanh Ly shared: “I am often busy with my business, so I have not had the opportunity to learn about voluntary social insurance policies before. When I saw information on the Facebook fanpage of the Social Insurance Agency of Region XVII about organizing a policy consulting booth, I proactively stopped by to get specific advice. Here, the Social Insurance officers gave enthusiastic advice, I understood more clearly about the benefits of participating and realized that this is a form of long-term savings that is worth considering.”
Due to the nature of his work, which requires him to travel frequently between China and Vietnam, Mr. Pham Ngoc Hoa (29 years old), from Cam Lam district, Khanh Hoa, has little opportunity to update information, while his old health insurance card has expired, making him confused about where to continue buying. When consulted at the booth, Mr. Hoa shared: "I find this a very practical activity, both convenient for people who want to learn about health insurance policies, and creating conditions for everyone to participate right on the spot."
For busy people like Ms. Bui Thi Hoai, visiting the booth is an opportunity to get advice and continue to maintain health insurance benefits. Ms. Bui Thi Hoai (33 years old), residing in Pom Han ward, Lao Cai city, said: “My health insurance card has expired for a while, but due to being busy with work, I have not had time to renew it. While visiting the fair, I happened to see the booth of the Social Insurance agency, so I stopped by for advice. Thanks to the enthusiastic and thoughtful guidance of the Social Insurance staff, I have a better understanding of the procedures as well as the benefits of continuous participation in health insurance. Right at the booth, I completed the registration to continue participating, feeling more secure when I need medical examination and treatment.”
The booth not only contributes to bringing social security policies closer to the people, but also clearly demonstrates the role and friendly, professional, and people-friendly image of the Social Insurance industry in the process of digital transformation and international integration.
