GLogistics 2024 Competition: Journey to Identify Your Values ​​officially opens applications with attractive prizes.

The International Business Club (IBC) of the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City is one of the oldest and most prestigious academic clubs at the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City.

After 15 years of development, IBC has become a leading academic club on international business and foreign trade in Ho Chi Minh City.

At the same time, IBC strives to bring Academic Programs closer to students, becoming a bridge between students passionate about International Business, Logistics and Supply Chain Management in Ho Chi Minh City in particular and the whole country in general.

Through 8 successful seasons as a bridge between the young generation of Vietnam and businesses, GLogistics 2023 has achieved some impressive milestones: More than 5,800 registered candidates, 4,000 total participations in round 1 from 30 schools with candidates participating.

Ms. Pham Ai Bao Tran, Head of the Organizing Committee of the competition, shared that GLogistics has been carrying out its mission as an academic playground for students to demonstrate their knowledge and skills in the field of logistics and supply chain management. This is also an opportunity for students to exchange and expand their relationships, gain practical experience and prepare their knowledge and skills before entering the difficult labor market.

GLogistics 2024 includes 3 official competition rounds:

+ Round 1 - DECIPHERING POTENTIAL (October 2, 2024 - October 20, 2024): Individuals take the online multiple choice and Hybrid essay test.

- Online Multiple Choice Test: October 2, 2024 - October 16, 2024: Each candidate will take a multiple choice test of 30 questions including the following topics: Logistics and supply chain management, supply planning... Then, the Top 100 candidates with the highest scores will be selected to participate in the Essay test.

- Hybrid Essay Contest: October 20, 2024 Top 100 will enter the essay contest with 2 questions on Logistics overview and analysis of the main challenges of businesses in the supply planning process. Then, the Top 16 candidates with the highest scores will be selected to enter round 2.

+ Round 2 - GAINING ALIGNMENT (October 29, 2024 - November 12, 2024): Divide into teams to propose solutions and answer questions individually.

- The Top 16 will participate in a 90-minute training session to gain in-depth knowledge of the topic and a Business Visit to apply the knowledge into practice.

- Solution Proposal Contest: Candidates receive the exam questions before the official exam, then write a report and present - debate in English in groups of 4 members.

Question and Answer Round: After each group presents their Solution Proposal, the Jury will ask each group questions for 20 minutes to select the Top 4 contestants for the Final Night.

- Individual scores will be equal to the total score of the Solution Proposal and the Question and Answer sections. The top 4 contestants with the highest scores will move on to the Final Night.

+ Round 3 - GATHERING RECORDS (November 30, 2024): Individuals compete in Presentation, Question and Answer and Debate.

Content: includes 3 events (1 Training session, 1 Mentoring session and Final Night)

- 1 Training session duration: 120 minutes, purpose: Training in-depth knowledge of the topic and soft skills necessary for candidates participating in the Final Night.

- 1 Mentoring session duration: 90 minutes/candidate for the purpose of providing knowledge advice for the Final Round of the contestants' Personal Presentation.

- The Final Night will consist of 2 rounds:

Round 3.1: Personal Presentation and Q&A. In this round, the Top 4 contestants will present on the previously announced topic.

The contestants will take turns presenting their arguments around the topic and the remaining 3 contestants will have the right to ring the bell. The contestant who rings the bell the fastest will present different opinions (agree or disagree) with the arguments presented by the contestant to have the opportunity to receive points from the Jury.

Round 3.2: Debate Competition. After selecting the Top 2, contestants will draw lots to choose the Support or Oppose position. Contestants will receive the topic and prepare for 10 minutes.

Contest conditions:

+ Students from 18-23 years old.

+ All students studying at universities nationwide who are interested in the field of Logistics and Supply Chain Management as well as the topic of the Competition: Supply Planning.

- Candidates must NOT be in one of the following groups:

+ Organizing Committee of GLogistics Competition 2024/ Member/ Collaborator currently working at IBC.

+ Students currently working at IBC Partners.

+ Candidates in the Top 4 entered the Final Round of the GLogistics Competition in previous years.

Contest format:

+ Candidates participate as individuals

+ Each candidate is allowed to take round 1 up to 5 times.
