A journey in retrospect.
Before 2018, the first visitors to "Dong Giang Heaven's Gate" encountered a majestic highlight, a meeting point of the vast forest, with towering mountain peaks and abundant waterfalls, streams, and caves as beautiful as a painting. However, the name "Dong Giang Heaven's Gate" had not yet made its mark on the tourism map of Quang Nam province in particular, and Central Vietnam in general.

Between 2017 and 2019, the number of visitors to Dong Giang's community-based tourism destinations was estimated at over 1,000 per year. This is still a modest figure and raises the question of how to attract more tourists and exploit the tourism potential of the mountainous region of Quang Nam.
Until the Dong Giang Heaven's Gate Eco-tourism Area officially opened to visitors in April 2022, the estimated number of visitors reached over 42,000, demonstrating the determination of a key tourist area, the largest in Western Quang Nam, to develop tourism in a systematic way during its initial operational phase.

Back in late 2022, the Vietnam Record Organization recognized the Dong Giang Heaven's Gate Ecotourism Area as the "Ecotourism Area with the Most Natural Waterfalls in Vietnam," boasting a system of 25 waterfalls and streams. Now, after two years of welcoming visitors, "Dong Giang Heaven's Gate" has become a new and attractive destination, offering numerous tourism products linked to local culture and helping to overcome previous shortcomings. It is estimated that between 2022 and 2024, this tourist area welcomed over 120,000 visitors.

Acknowledging and speaking about the changes in this area at the opening ceremony of the Dong Giang Heaven's Gate Eco-tourism Area in April 2024, Mr. Ho Quang Buu - Vice Chairman of the Quang Nam Provincial People's Committee said: "The presence of the Dong Giang Heaven's Gate Eco-tourism Area is of pioneering significance, awakening the potential and enhancing the position and competitiveness of mountain tourism, contributing to promoting mountain tourism in Quang Nam in the coming time."
Creating sustainable livelihoods and promoting economic development.

Following the successful completion of Phase 1 projects, the Dong Giang Heaven's Gate Eco-tourism Area is now launching a series of other impressive facilities at the 400m and 800m peaks. Notable examples include the cable car system, the Love Mountain peak; a swimming pool and tennis court entertainment complex; and a food village… In addition, visitors can participate in new and exciting experiences and services related to local culture such as weaving, making traditional cakes, and the "Dance of the Great Forest" show.

In particular, the cable car system will be officially introduced and put into trial operation by the tourist area, along with many attractive sightseeing and entertainment activities. The investor stated that this is the first cable car line in Quang Nam, with a length of over 1.6km, supplied and advised on by the cable car company Doppelmayr Garaventa (Austria). The cable car system includes 2 stations, 7 cable towers and 19 cabins, put into operation in phase 1, with a capacity of serving more than 1,000 passengers per hour. Tourists will experience a cloud-hunting journey amidst the mountains and forests with diverse pristine vegetation, and admire the system of waterfalls and streams from above.

Mr. Martin Baer, Project Director and representative of Doppelmayr Garaventa cable car company, commented: “The presence of the cable car line will be an impressive highlight of the tourist area, opening a new era for tourism in the mountainous region of Quang Nam, creating professional, sustainable, and prosperous tourism development for the area.”

Ms. Pham Thi Nghia, Deputy General Director of FVG Travel Corporation (a subsidiary of FVG Group), the unit managing and operating the tourist area, said that in the coming time, the unit will continue to improve the landscape, introduce more product packages, services and new construction items to realize the goal of welcoming more than 100,000 visitors per year.

The investor overcame numerous difficulties and challenges caused by natural disasters, the COVID-19 pandemic, and limited infrastructure conditions that significantly affected the construction and operation of the Dong Giang Heaven's Gate Eco-tourism Area. The seven-year journey of building and developing "Dong Giang Heaven's Gate" may not be long, but it represents a persistent transformation in pursuing the goal and direction of sustainable green tourism development with four criteria: eco-tourism, resort tourism, spiritual tourism, and maximizing the local culture of the FVG Group.
It can be affirmed that the perseverance, dedication, and love for the mountains and forests of investors like FVG Group have created a large-scale eco-tourism area in western Quang Nam, contributing to revenue for the local tourism industry. "Dong Giang Sky Gate" also creates livelihoods, solves employment problems, and improves the lives of people in Dong Giang and surrounding areas.
In addition to refreshing its existing products, Dong Giang Heaven's Gate Eco-tourism Area is also introducing many other attractive product packages, running from the end of May until the end of 2024, to stimulate tourism demand.
Specifically, visitors will enjoy a discounted price of 350,000 VND per adult and 250,000 VND per child, including sightseeing and experiencing new services. Additionally, if food and beverage services are included, visitors will receive a discounted price of 500,000 VND per adult and 400,000 VND per child.
