Tourists enjoy exploring the life and natural scenery in Ke village.
Since getting married, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thao stopped working as a contract employee for a non-governmental organization and instead focused on developing a community-based tourism model with her husband. Besides its location on Hien Luong Bay, Ms. Thao's family homestay, Huu Thao, is situated next to the year-round babbling Ke stream, offering a picturesque setting. This is why many groups of tourists love to stay here for relaxation. Depending on their needs for communal accommodation or private space, guests can choose a suitable space at Huu Thao homestay. Ms. Thao said: "Our family has one large main room and three smaller rooms. All rooms are designed in the traditional stilt house style of the Muong ethnic group, with minimalist yet clean furnishings and amenities, aiming to provide guests with authentic and intimate experiences."

To date, the village of Ké has three households operating community homestays. The households have invested in improving the infrastructure and service quality of these homestays, meeting standards and offering increasingly professional service. In addition to providing food and accommodation, the households also develop diverse and engaging recreational activities such as cultural exchanges, bonfires, kayaking, swimming in streams, and pool access. Periodically, at the end of the year, the village organizes a cultural and tourism festival to introduce and promote the unique local tourism products, contributing to attracting tourists and fostering community tourism development.
Visitors to Ke village are warmly and thoughtfully welcomed by the local residents.
Having the opportunity to take his whole family on a weekend getaway to Bản Ké, Mr. Đặng Đình Khoa, a tourist from Hanoi, happily shared: "My family is quite satisfied with our experiences here. First of all, the scenery of Hòa Bình Lake in the Hiền Lương Bay area is very beautiful. In addition, the homestays have clean and airy accommodations; staying in local homes still ensures comfort and privacy. I was also very impressed with the food, especially the grilled fish which was delicious and perfectly prepared by the host. The water sports and recreational activities at this destination helped my family have fun and meaningful moments together."
Ban Ke is a concentrated residential area of the Muong ethnic minority with 115 households. Since the development of community-based tourism, the livelihoods of the people have improved, cultural exchange has enriched their spiritual lives, and their awareness of preserving and promoting cultural identity has increased. The village maintains performing arts groups and cooperative groups providing community-based tourism services, contributing to job creation and increased income. Through tourism activities, the main production activities as well as the consumption of local specialties, especially cage-farmed fish, have been better promoted.
A variety of accommodation options are offered by homestays along Hoa Binh Lake.
Tourists can experience exciting water sports activities in Hien Luong Bay at the Ke village community tourism destination.
Currently, in the Hoa Binh Lake tourist area, community-based tourism is relatively developed, with characteristic products including exploring the unique culture of ethnic minority communities, experiencing activities such as rowing boats, rafting, swimming, and some activities related to the daily life and production of the local people. Along with other destinations in the tourist area, the community-based tourism in Ke village offers interesting experiences for visitors who love exploring culture and majestic natural landscapes. It is also one of the friendly and attractive destinations chosen by many domestic tour groups, families, and friends as a weekend getaway.
