One of the celebrities who has a good relationship with Harry and Meghan in the US is Elton John. However, the estranged royal couple did not attend the 31st annual Oscar party hosted by the singer’s AIDS Foundation – an event that brought together many Hollywood A-listers and lasted all night.
In an interview with GB News on March 15, Tom Bower - author of Revenge: Meghan, Harry and the War Between the Windsors - commented that the absence of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex at the event showed that their influence in Hollywood was gradually decreasing.
“They weren’t even invited to Elton John’s Oscar party. They’re practically nobody in Hollywood!” the expert said.

Elton John is a star with close ties to the British Royal Family. In 1998, he was knighted by Queen Elizabeth II for " services to music and charity".
According to the Daily Mail , Sir Elton has always been a strong support in Harry's life. He was a good friend of the late Princess Diana. After Harry's mother passed away in 1997, he continued to be friends with Harry.
Elton and his husband David Furnish were among the many celebrity guests who attended the red-haired prince's wedding to the former American actress in May 2018. The Empty Sky star also performed to celebrate the happy couple.
During a holiday to the French Riviera in 2019, Harry and Meghan visited the palatial £15 million (VND429 billion) villa in Castel Mont-Alban owned by Elton and David.
The trip comes after Harry and Meghan ended a six-night holiday in Ibiza, Spain, to celebrate the Duchess's 38th birthday. At the time, they were criticised for using private jets four times in just 11 days in 2019, wasting British taxpayers' money.
Elton later defended the couple, claiming he had paid for the private jet. He called Princess Diana one of his closest friends and said he felt a duty to protect her family.
“Elton speaks to Harry and Meghan every day. He is an inspiration, almost a mother figure to them. He is very supportive of them, especially Meghan, and very protective of them both,” a royal source told the Mirror in 2020.
Meanwhile, a source close to Elton said: “He is like a big rock in their hearts. So although he never tells them what to do, he always listens and supports them.”
In 2022, the couple shared a personal message with Elton before the singer's farewell concert at Dodgers Stadium (Los Angeles, USA).
Harry and Meghan also appeared in a video compilation of stars paying tribute to Elton before the show. In the video, filmed at their private estate Archewell, the duo said: “Hey Elton, we just wanted to say congratulations. We are so proud of you and so grateful that we were able to see you on your farewell tour. Thank you for being my mother's friend. Thank you for being our friend. Thank you for being our children's friend and thank you for entertaining people all over the world. Although this is officially your retirement, it is not your last performance and we know that. We love you and we celebrate your incredible career.”

Elton's husband, David Furnish, was planning to executive produce Meghan's first animated series, Pearl. David praised Meghan for her leadership skills during their time together. However, the project was ultimately canceled.
Representatives of Elton John and Harry and Meghan have not responded to the news of their split.
