The match started fast-paced but also with many mistakes. In the 5th minute, Barcelona's defense lost concentration, allowing Antony to break the offside trap and score from close range, giving Betis the lead. The early goal somewhat unsettled the visitors, and Barcelona quickly tightened their grip, constantly pressing their opponents with their fast-paced passing on both flanks.

In the 11th minute, Jules Kounde redeemed himself with a run down the right wing and a cross for Ferran Torres to finish neatly, leveling the score at 1-1. Just two minutes later, the same scenario repeated itself when Roony Bardghji delivered a perfect cross for Torres to volley home, putting Barca ahead 2-1.

The visitors' dominance was evident in the 31st minute when Bardghji, the 20-year-old Swedish star, scored with a close-range angled shot to make it 3-1.
