An Giang Provincial People's Council, 10th term, closed the 2nd session

On the afternoon of July 29, the 10th term People's Council of An Giang province, term 2021-2026, closed the 2nd session (regular session in mid-2025). At this session, the Provincial People's Council considered, discussed and approved 13 resolutions, including regulations on support policies for cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers after the rearrangement of administrative units in An Giang province.

Support travel and accommodation expenses for officials and civil servants

At the meeting, the An Giang Provincial People's Council reviewed, discussed and approved 13 resolutions. These are major decisions on socio -economic development, budget allocation, public investment capital, specific policies and mechanisms and shaping the development direction of An Giang province in the new period, right after the government apparatus is consolidated according to the new administrative unit.

The Provincial People's Council agreed on the medium-term public investment plan for the period 2021 - 2025, with central budget capital and local budget capital in An Giang province of VND 80,716.132 billion (allocated for 2,182 projects).

Agree on the 2025 public investment plan using central budget capital and local budget capital in An Giang province of VND 26,772,043 billion.

The People's Council of An Giang province passed a Resolution regulating the support regime for cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers after the reorganization of administrative units in the province. This Resolution applies to cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers working in provincial agencies and units who change their workplace from the An Giang Provincial Administrative Center (old) to the An Giang Provincial Administrative Center (new) and vice versa.

Accordingly, travel expenses are supported at 2 million VND/person/month; living expenses are supported at 1.5 million VND/person/month; accommodation is supported at 1.5 million VND/person/month.

In case cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers have been arranged with shuttle vehicles or official housing according to prescribed standards, they will not be supported with travel and accommodation expenses.

This Resolution takes effect from August 1, 2025. Officials, civil servants, public employees and workers specified in Article 2 of this Resolution shall enjoy support for 24 months from the effective date of the Resolution.

Strive for GRDP growth of 8.5% or more

Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the An Giang Provincial People's Council Nguyen Thanh Nhan assessed that the adopted resolutions demonstrated high consensus, met urgent practical requirements, and were an important legal basis for the Provincial People's Committee and sectors and localities to organize implementation in the coming time.

Comrade Nguyen Thanh Nhan emphasized that right after this session, the Provincial People's Council requested the Provincial People's Committee to focus on seriously and effectively implementing the resolutions of the Provincial People's Council that have just been passed, in conjunction with the action plan and specific results; continue to focus on stabilizing the organization, perfecting the State administrative apparatus from the province to communes, wards, and special zones to operate synchronously, effectively, efficiently, truly close to the people, and serve the people better.

The People's Committee of An Giang province mobilizes maximum resources, removes bottlenecks, speeds up the disbursement of public investment and synchronously implements socio-economic development solutions, determined to achieve the target of GRDP growth in 2025 of 8.5% or more as directed by the Prime Minister ; speeds up the progress of planning; carefully prepares the socio-economic development plan for 2026 and the 5-year plan for 2026-2030.
