When Nhan Thang commune had a policy to widen the village road to 5m, Ms. Nguyen Thi Oanh's family and more than 40 households in Cau Dao village voluntarily donated more than 500m2 of land to widen the village road. Ms. Oanh said that when the village government mobilized to donate land to widen the road, her family agreed to move the fence to donate more than 30m2 of land to hand over the site to the construction unit.
“The expanded village road will benefit not only my life but also my children and grandchildren. With a wide road, everyone in the village is excited because traveling and doing business in the future will be more convenient,” Ms. Oanh shared.
Agreeing to expand the village road, Mr. Nguyen Kim Vinh's family in Cau Dao village proactively demolished the solid fence and donated 20 square meters of residential land to the village. For Mr. Vinh, the newly expanded road to 5 meters not only facilitates traffic but also opens up opportunities for people in the village to develop the economy and improve their material and spiritual life.
Mr. Dao Duy Phuong - Secretary of Nhan Thang Commune Party Committee said that after 3 years of implementation, up to now, the whole commune has had more than 200 households participating in donating land with a total area of nearly 2,600m2. Of which, people in Huong Trien village participated in donating more than 500m2 of land with 42 households, expanding 6 roads, including 2 internal roads, with a total length of nearly 4 km; Ngo Cuong village had more than 30 households participating in donating land with a total area of more than 700m2; Cau Dao village had 41 households participating in donating more than 500m2; Cam Xa village donated more than 200m2...
Not only in Nhan Thang, the movement of donating land to build traffic infrastructure has spread widely throughout communes and towns, helping traffic routes in Gia Binh district continue to be expanded and extended. In just the past 4 years, people in the district have voluntarily donated nearly 6,000m2 and assets on land to upgrade and expand rural traffic routes to 5-6m.
Chairwoman of the Bac Ninh Provincial Fatherland Front Committee Nguyen Thi Ha affirmed that in recent years, the Fatherland Front at all levels and its member organizations have comprehensively implemented the contents of the campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas", thereby contributing to the effective implementation of new rural criteria. In localities, the Fatherland Front at all levels has many creative ways to mobilize people to participate in contributing resources, donating tens of thousands of square meters of land to complete the rural transport infrastructure system.
Responding to the movement of donating land to open roads, in 5 years (2019-2024), the whole province has 1,152 households voluntarily donating more than 18,448m2 of land, contributing 31,253 working days and hundreds of billions of VND to build 80 traffic works and public welfare works. The expanded roads contribute to creating favorable conditions for travel, transporting goods, and promoting local socio-economic development.
In order for the movement to spread strongly, along with the participation of the entire political system, the Fatherland Front Committee of Bac Ninh province has just launched the movement "All people unite to participate in donating land to build traffic infrastructure". With the spirit of "The province holds the commune, the district holds the village, the commune holds the people, union members and association members", the Front system from the province to the grassroots continues to promote propaganda, mobilization, clarify the purpose, meaning and benefits of the movement to each residential area, each person in order to mobilize the highest participation of the community in the process of building new rural areas and civilized urban areas.
