(PLVN) - Werder Bremen women's club brought a strong force to Hanoi to play a friendly match with the Vietnamese women's team.

On the morning of May 14, the Werder Bremen women's club arrived in the capital Hanoi . The team will have 2 days to prepare before entering the friendly match with the Vietnamese women's team.

The German women's team brought 26 players and 9 members of the coaching staff. Head coach Thomas Horsch chose all the pillars of Werder Bremen. The most notable name is Larissa Mühlhaus.

The 22-year-old striker has scored eight goals for Bremen in this year's tournament. Last year, while playing for Hamburg, Larissa Mühlhaus scored 22 goals, winning the Golden Boot in the German women's second division.

In addition, the Werder Bremen women's team squad has Juliane Wirtz. She is the older sister of German player Florain Wirtz. This is the face that helped Leverkusen win the Bundesliga in the 2024/25 season. Juliane Wirtz plays in the midfielder position, has made 19 official appearances for Werder Bremen and scored 1 goal.

The height of the Werder Bremen women's players is also very impressive. They have 2 central defenders with a height of 1m80 including Lara Schmidt and Hanna Nemeth. Most of the players of the Werder Bremen women's team are also over 1m60.

Werder Bremen have just finished the German women's national championship. The team ranked 7th after 22 rounds, winning 9, drawing 2 and losing 11 matches. During the whole season, Bremen scored 28 goals and conceded 39.

The match between Vietnam and Werder Bremen will take place at 7:00 p.m. on May 16 at Hang Day Stadium. This is an activity to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and the Federal Republic of Germany.

This match is the preparation of Vietnamese women's football before the qualifying round of the 2026 Asian Women's Championship.
