This morning, February 7, people in Ho Chi Minh City welcomed a new day in cold weather, the lowest temperature was about 22-23 degrees Celsius, and fog appeared in many places.
According to the reporter's records, fog appeared a lot in the central area of Ho Chi Minh City and some neighboring districts. Many high-rise buildings "disappeared" behind the opaque white fog.
According to the air monitoring application Air Visual (belonging to IQAir, which owns a large amount of aggregated data on air quality and is headquartered in Switzerland), since the morning of February 7, many areas in Ho Chi Minh City have had air quality measurement points that are not good for health.

Air Visual said that the concentration of fine dust PM 2.5 in Ho Chi Minh City is currently 8.8 times higher than the value according to WHO's annual air quality guidelines.

The Southern Hydrometeorological Station said that from today, the continental cold high pressure (cold air) will strengthen again in the north of our country. Above, the subtropical high pressure with an axis passing through the Central region will operate stably.
In the next 10 days, the cold air will continue to strengthen and diffuse deep into the South, from February 10 it will gradually weaken, then around February 13-14 the cold air will weaken and weaken again into the North. Around February 9-10, the equatorial low pressure trough in the south is likely to form and gradually lift its axis to the north, weakly affecting the weather in the South. Above, the subtropical high pressure crossing the Central region will operate stably.
From the above main weather patterns, the Southern Hydrometeorological Station forecasts that the weather in Ho Chi Minh City on the weekend and the coming days will continue to be cold, with fog at night and early morning, which can affect health.
