VOV.VN - Coach Kim Sang Sik shared his feelings with the media after the Vietnamese team won 2-1 against the Cambodian team in an international friendly match that took place on the evening of March 19.

The match at Go Dau Stadium was not easy for the Vietnamese team. The "Golden Star Warriors" had to rely on the individual brilliance of Hai Long and Van Vi to win 2-1 against their opponents.

Speaking after the match, coach Kim Sang Sik said: "In the first half, I arranged for Quang Hai to play in the attacking midfielder position and operate in the center. According to the plan set by the coaching staff, Hai Long scored, and we demonstrated what we had practiced.

However, in the second half, the increased pressure made it difficult for us to neutralize Cambodia's attacks. Quang Hai also suffered a slight injury. When I made some personnel changes, the Vietnamese team encountered some obstacles in developing the ball."

In this match, coach Kim Sang Sik has not given the opportunity to play players like Minh Khoa or Ly Duc. Explaining this, the Korean strategist said: "I do not test too many new faces but prioritize using experienced players, because the Vietnamese team is still in the process of preparing for the match against Laos.

I want to analyze and support the players to improve their skills. In the coming time, I will create conditions for them to have the opportunity to learn. Currently, the experienced players are still maintaining good physical condition and I think this is a reasonable preparation for the upcoming match."

On the other side of the front line, coach Koji Gyotoku shared: "First of all, I would like to thank the Vietnam Football Federation for organizing a useful match. If compared, my team played better in the second half.

Overall, the Vietnamese team was superior in every aspect, from technique to physical strength. However, the Cambodian team has also accumulated a lot of experience. In the second half, we created many scoring opportunities but still lost 1-2. Although I am not satisfied with this result, I do not think this was a bad performance by my students."
