The Vietnamese women's volleyball team just put on a thrilling and "breathtaking" performance by Tran Thi Thanh Thuy and her teammates when facing Korea, competing for the top spot in Group C of the 19th ASIAD women's volleyball event.

The weakness in defense, especially the first step and blocking of the Vietnamese team was well exploited by the opponent and they won consecutively in game 1 and game 2. In the "attacking and defending" situation, near the end of game 3, coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet made a bold decision to send setter Kim Thoa onto the field to replace a middle blocker to support the back row.
