Specifically, the Korea JoongAng Daily newspaper reported that former Vietnam national team coach Park Hang-seo and former Indonesia national team coach Shin Tae-yong were appointed as Vice Presidents of the Korea Football Association (KFA) for the 2025-2028 term.

The KFA decision was made on the morning of April 9. Park Hang-seo and Shin Tae-yong were among 27 people elected to the 55th Executive Committee, chaired by Chairman Chung Mong-gyu. The vice-chairmanship has five members. Park is in charge of coaching the national team, and Shin is in charge of foreign cooperation.
Mr. Park Hang-seo has been associated with Korean football when he joined the coaching staff of several teams in the land of kimchi, most impressively when he was an assistant to coach Guus Hiddink, making a great contribution to bringing the Korean team to the semi-finals of the 2002 World Cup.
In addition, the great mark in Mr. Park Hang-seo's career must also include 5 years accompanying Vietnamese football. Since taking the position of head coach of the Vietnam National Team at the end of 2017, the Korean strategist quickly demonstrated his talent in coaching when he and the Vietnam U23 team created a miracle when reaching the final match of the 2018 U23 Asian Cup.
Success followed as the "golden star warriors" won the 2018 AFF Cup and reached the quarter-finals of the Asian Cup a year later. Not stopping there, Coach Park Hang-seo and his students brought Vietnam the first men's football gold medal at a SEA Games in 2019. Three years later, Coach Park Hang-seo and his students continued to successfully defend the men's football championship at the SEA Games held in 2022 in Vietnam.
