V-League 2023 champion coach Tran Tien Dai leaves Hanoi Police Club, unknown where he will go

At the end of the 2023 season, Coach Tran Tien Dai was appointed to lead the Hanoi Police Club to replace Mr. Flavio Da Silva Cruz. Coach Tien Dai was registered as the head coach in the last match of the police team in V-League 2023, against Thanh Hoa Club. After that, he and the Hanoi Police Club lifted the cup in the highest tournament in Vietnam.

When the 2023-2024 season starts, Coach Tran Tien Dai will still be in charge of the Hanoi Police Club. Mr. Dai will direct the defending champion team to compete in the first 3 rounds of the V-League, before the Korean coach arrives at Hang Day Stadium.

Mr. Tran Tien Dai said in early November: "It can be said that there has never been a team in history like the Hanoi Police Club, even though they won the championship, the players did not receive bonuses from the club. The players were shocked. For nearly a month now, we have done everything we can to touch the compassion and honor of the players so that they can compete in a context where they do not receive bonuses from the club. I hope this year's season will change so that the players can play with focus. My position is to advise the club president. The club president also understands my health. I came to the club by chance. After that, I will hand over all the work to the new coaching staff so that they can focus on their work better and run the team in a more orderly manner, with a higher level of tactical awareness."

After Mr. Gong took over the position at Hanoi Police Club, coach Tran Tien Dai retired to become executive director.

Mr. Tran Tien Dai is known as the most successful broker in Vietnamese football. He is the person behind a series of high-value transfer deals of many clubs competing in the V-League.

When joining the Hanoi Police Club in the 2023 season, Mr. Dai brought in many quality players to fulfill his ambition to win the championship. The arrival of a series of national players has turned the Hanoi Police team into a miniature Vietnam team. In turn, Doan Van Hau, Phan Van Duc, Ho Tan Tai, Vu Van Thanh, Nguyen Quang Hai (2023 season) and Le Pham Thanh Long, Bui Hoang Viet Anh (2023 - 2024 season) have joined the Hang Day Stadium team.

Coach Gong Oh-kyun failed in his first match leading Hanoi Police Club in V-League.

After the first 3 rounds of V-League 2023 - 2024, Hanoi Police Club under the leadership of Mr. Dai won 2 matches (against HAGL and Hanoi Club) and 1 draw (with Binh Dinh Club), ranking second on the rankings. After Mr. Dai left the head coach position, Hanoi Police Club beat HAGL in the first round of the 2023 - 2024 National Cup on the debut day of new coach Gong Oh-kyun.

However, in the first match of V-League (round 4), the Korean coach could not help the police team gain points, when they lost 1-3 to Hai Phong Club. Currently, Hanoi Police Club is ranked 4th with 7 points and will meet Nam Dinh Club in round 5 on December 9.

There is no official information about where Mr. Tran Tien Dai will work in the future, but in some football forums, there is news that Mr. Dai may return to the HAGL team.
