In the industrial parks across the province, there are currently more than 160 enterprises and projects participating in production and business and are making efforts to maintain stable operations after the province's merger. Especially for enterprises in the fields of garment, leather and footwear, wood, paper, agriculture - forestry - seafood, cashew nuts, food, construction materials, minerals or such as: trade and service sectors (gas filling, car buying and selling and repair...).
However, according to the Provincial Industrial Park Management Board, there are also cases where businesses are still facing difficulties and have stopped operations but have no plans to resume operations. Particularly in the eastern region of Lam Dong, recently, some businesses exporting dragon fruit, producing cardboard, artificial quartz stone, etc. have been operating at a standstill due to unfavorable consumption markets.
In addition, the US tariff policy on Vietnamese export goods as announced in early August 2025 also has more or less affected the local production and business situation. Enterprises in industrial parks in the province that are directly or indirectly affected are identified as seafood, footwear, wood, textiles, etc.
To help resolve the above difficulties, Lam Dong Department of Industry and Trade has just requested relevant departments, branches, units, industry associations, and enterprises to coordinate in providing information. Specifically, on the situation of business operations, production, and exports in the context of the US applying a 20% reciprocal tax rate as well as proposing and recommending solutions to resolve difficulties and obstacles. Thereby, finding appropriate solutions to support businesses to continue to maintain stable operations, gradually improving competitiveness to boost the export of goods in the coming time.
Despite facing many challenges, the production and business situation of enterprises in industrial parks in Lam Dong still recorded positive signs. After 7 months of 2025, the industrial parks achieved revenue of approximately 20,235 billion VND, exported more than 421 million USD to the locality and paid nearly 544 billion VND in taxes...
In the remaining months of this year, it is expected that some projects in the industrial parks will focus on accelerating the implementation progress such as: Neotek Vietnam Industrial Factory (Ham Kiem II Industrial Park) will import machinery and equipment worth about 1,200 billion VND, Dak Nong Aluminum Electrolysis Plant (secondary project in Nhan Co Industrial Park) will disburse 2,500 billion VND... Previously, a representative of Trans Pacific Seafood Processing Company Limited (Phan Thiet Industrial Park Phase 2) said that the unit has invested in building additional cold storage with a capacity of 2,000 tons of goods and a new production line to improve processing capacity, promptly meeting customer needs...
It is known that in addition to supporting the completion of construction factories, the local industry and trade sector will also strengthen the connection between production and processing industry and develop export markets. At the same time, it will continue to support advanced machinery and equipment for businesses from the industrial promotion fund, thereby contributing to promoting the production of industrial products, processing, manufacturing, textile and garment, consumer goods, etc.
With the Provincial Industrial Park Management Board, actively urge infrastructure investors to focus on accelerating the progress of completing infrastructure to attract more secondary projects, increasing the occupancy rate of industrial parks. In addition, pay attention to grasping difficulties, promptly proposing solutions and creating the best conditions for businesses to maintain effective operations. Next is to prepare well for the implementation of the investment promotion program in Lam Dong industrial parks in 2026, calling for new investment projects to promote land resources, contributing to the overall economic development goals of the province...
