Support for Van Nham, Yen Binh and Huu Lung communes affected by storms and floods

- On October 10, Lang Son Newspaper and Radio and Television in coordination with Xuan Cuong Friendship Joint Stock Company organized a working delegation to visit, encourage and give relief gifts to flood-affected households in Huu Lung, Van Nham and Yen Binh communes of the old Huu Lung district.

Leaders of two agencies presented financial support to Van Nham commune to support households affected by storms and floods.

Leaders of Lang Son Newspaper and Radio and Television Station support the transportation of food and drinking water to help people in Van Nham commune.

Joining the working delegation were Mr. Vu Thanh Son, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Lang Son Newspaper and Radio and Television Station; representatives of the leadership of Xuan Cuong Friendship Joint Stock Company.

At the destinations, the delegation worked and exchanged with leaders of the Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Fatherland Front of the communes to grasp the situation of the people, damage, response work, production recovery, and stabilization of people's lives, and visited and encouraged families affected by storms and floods.

Leaders of the two agencies presented support funds to Yen Binh commune so that the commune could allocate them to help households affected by storms and floods.

According to a quick report from the leaders of the People's Committees of the communes as of October 10, in the above communes, there are still 15 villages isolated by flooding, with over 4,000 households unable to move, many families have lost all their crops, and mud has flooded their floors.

Van Nham and Yen Binh communes and 4 villages of Huu Lung commune still have no electricity, unstable phone signals, making daily life difficult. Regarding production restoration, the communes are still unable to mobilize people because many households are still covered in mud in their houses, fields, livestock areas, and production facilities are still paralyzed because many areas are still flooded, seedlings are gone, livestock and production materials are damaged.

Faced with the particularly great losses, the working delegation shared and encouraged the Party committees, authorities of the communes and families to promote the spirit of solidarity, join hands to firmly overcome difficulties, stabilize life and rebuild the economy when the flood completely recedes.

To share with the communes and people, the working delegation of the two agencies presented cash, food, milk and drinks worth 250 million VND to Van Nham and Yen Binh communes; cash, food, milk and drinks worth 100 million VND to Huu Lung commune; Huu Nghi Express International Transport Joint Stock Company, a company in the ecosystem of Huu Nghi Xuan Cuong Joint Stock Company headquartered in Huu Lung commune, supported Huu Lung commune with 50 million VND.
