From 7am, Ngoc Chau and the guests began preparing for the sea turtle release under the guidance of the Con Dao National Park rangers.

The moment of releasing baby turtles back to the sea was very touching. Miss Universe Vietnam 2022 confided: "Chau feels very happy to accompany the campaigns to protect the marine environment. Save The Ocean is a very humane and meaningful campaign. When receiving the invitation to attend the event, Chau was very excited because it was the first time Chau experienced releasing turtles back to the sea.

When seeing the baby turtles crawling out to sea one by one, safely returning to their ocean home, Chau felt both joy and emotion.

Given the risk of extinction of sea turtles, this activity is really necessary. Hopefully the campaign can spread the message of green living, environmental protection, and saying no to plastic waste to everyone, so that we can join hands to act for a sustainable future for the marine environment in general and sea turtles in particular."

With the desire to spread the message of protecting the marine ecosystem from the smallest actions, runners-up Thao Nhi Le and Thuy Tien were extremely excited about the experience. The two beauty queens also hope that through their practical actions, they can influence the environmental protection awareness of the whole society.

Not only participating in the turtle release activity, the Top 3 Miss Universe Vietnam 2022 and the guests also participated in the Signing Ceremony of Joining Hands to Con Dao Sea Turtle Conservation.

With a very low survival rate of only about 1/1,000, sea turtles are rare animals listed in the Red Book of Vietnam as well as worldwide for conservation against the risk of extinction.

The number of turtles laying eggs in Con Dao accounts for more than 85% of the total number of turtles laying eggs in all sea areas of Vietnam. From 1995 to 2022, Con Dao National Park has made continuous efforts to protect sea turtles, with more than 35,778 egg nests rescued and 2,397,541 million baby turtles released back into the sea.

Currently, Con Dao National Park is the first place in Vietnam to successfully implement a sea turtle conservation program.

Miss Ngoc Chau and the girls in the Top 3 Miss Universe Vietnam 2022 are also actively accompanying the activities of Miss Universe Vietnam - Miss Cosmo Vietnam 2023.
