The event was organized by the Russian Center for Science and Culture in Hanoi, the Russian Embassy in Vietnam in coordination with the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security and the University of Fire Prevention and Fighting.
The program began with a solemn ceremony: the procession of the national flags of the Russian Federation and Vietnam, along with the legendary Victory Flag - the symbol of the victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War, and the "Immortal Regiment" parade. Under the melody of the national anthems of the two countries, the delegates commemorated the heroes who sacrificed their lives for freedom and a peaceful future.

Ambassador Professor Bezdetko said that the “Immortal Regiment” event has become a tradition both in Russia and around the world, aiming to commemorate the participants of the Great Patriotic War - the frontline soldiers, guerrillas and those who worked in the rear who brought the long-awaited victory closer.
“We do not forget the Vietnamese volunteers who fought side by side with the Soviet soldiers in 1941-1945. Their names are immortalized on the memorial stele of the Memory Trail Museum in Patriot Park on the outskirts of Moscow. To commemorate the Vietnamese soldiers, a monument was erected on the territory of the complex depicting them in the uniform of the Red Army of the Soviet Union. We pay tribute to the heroes of the Vietnamese national liberation movement, who liberated southern Vietnam and contributed to the reunification of the country 50 years ago,” the Ambassador said.
