On April 13, 2025, the People's Committee of Lam Dong province issued document No. 3751/UBND – TKCT regarding the implementation of the plan for rearranging provincial-level administrative units.

Accordingly, in implementing the resolutions of the 13th Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the conclusions of the Politburo and the Secretariat on conducting research and proposing further restructuring of the political system's organizational apparatus; and the conclusions of the Central Committee on rearranging and reorganizing administrative units at all levels and building a two-tiered local government organizational model... the Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee assigns the provincial departments and agencies to take the lead; to urgently and proactively coordinate with the departments and agencies of Binh Thuan and Dak Nong provinces (according to each department and agency), to organize the development of merger plans for each department and agency of the three provinces, ensuring progress according to the province's plan; and to finalize the plans and submit them to the Department of Internal Affairs for appraisal and compilation before April 22, 2025.

The People's Committee of Lam Dong province has assigned the Department of Internal Affairs of Lam Dong to guide and urge departments and agencies to implement the project as required; and to consolidate the content into the project for rearranging provincial-level administrative units (the province's overall project), ensuring progress and consistency with the overall plan of Lam Dong province.
