Completion of the project to prevent grid overload in Nam Giang

(QNO) - On the afternoon of April 29, Quang Nam Electricity Company organized the installation of a signboard for the key project "Completing and preventing overload of the medium and low voltage power grid and transformer stations in the Nam Giang Electricity area".

The project includes the following items: Upgrading and renovating more than 4.6km of medium and low voltage lines; installing 2 new transformer stations with a total capacity of 260kVA; replacing old small cross-section wires with larger wires, ensuring high load carrying capacity and reducing power loss.

In addition, Nam Giang Power Company also reinforced and maintained dozens of electric poles and installed additional protection and remote incident warning devices to modernize operation management.

The project has a total investment of more than 2.2 billion VND, started construction at the end of 2024 and was completed 1 month ahead of schedule, and officially put into operation at the end of March 2025.

The project has effectively overcome the local overload situation, improving the reliability of power supply to the administrative center of Nam Giang district, Thanh My town and the mountainous and border communes of Ca Dy, Ta Bhing, Ta Po, especially for priority customers such as the District Medical Center and Police according to the decision of the People's Committee of Quang Nam province.

This is a project to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025), the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the Central Power Corporation (October 7, 1975 - October 7, 2025) and to welcome the 15th Party Congress of the Central Power Corporation (term 2025 - 2030).
