Complete the reorganization of political organizations.

Official document No. 43-CV/BCĐ on the Plan for continuing the reorganization of the political system's apparatus clearly states: Reorganize political and social organizations and mass associations assigned by the Party and State to be under the direct control of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (to be completed before July 15, 2025).

On March 20, 2025, the Central Steering Committee for summarizing the implementation of Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW, dated October 25, 2017, of the 12th Central Committee on some issues concerning the continued reform and restructuring of the political system's organizational apparatus to be streamlined, effective, and efficient, issued Official Letter No. 43-CV/BCĐ on the Plan for continuing the restructuring of the political system's organizational apparatus.

Complete the restructuring of socio-political organizations before July 15, 2025.

The official document states: The Party Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and central mass organizations shall preside over and coordinate with the Central Organization Department and relevant agencies to: Advise the Politburo to issue a decision on the functions, tasks, and organizational structure of the Vietnam Fatherland Front at the central level (to be completed before April 25, 2025).

Arrange political and social organizations and mass associations assigned by the Party and State to be directly under the Vietnam Fatherland Front (to be completed before July 15, 2025).

Decision to reorganize subordinate Party organizations (within political-social organizations and mass associations assigned tasks by the Party and State) in accordance with the restructured organizational model (to be completed before June 30, 2025).

Propose amendments and additions to relevant legal regulations to implement the policy of reorganizing administrative units and local government organizations at two levels.

Based on Article 9 of the 2013 Constitution, Vietnam currently has five socio-political organizations, including:

1. Vietnam Trade Union

The Vietnam Trade Union is a socio-political organization of the working class and laborers, established on a voluntary basis, representing workers, and caring for and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of workers.

Participating in state management, socio-economic management; participating in inspection, auditing, and supervision of the activities of state agencies, organizations, units, and enterprises regarding issues related to the rights and obligations of workers;

2. Vietnam Farmers' Association

The Vietnam Farmers' Association is a socio-political organization of the peasantry led by the Communist Party of Vietnam; a political foundation of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and a member of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.

3. Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union

The Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union is a socio-political organization of Vietnamese youth founded, led, and nurtured by the Communist Party of Vietnam and President Ho Chi Minh. The Union comprises progressive young people striving for the Party's goals and ideals: national independence linked with socialism, a prosperous people, a strong nation, democracy, justice, and civilization.

The Youth Union is also considered the core political force for youth movements and youth organizations in Vietnam.

4. Vietnam Women's Union

The Vietnam Women's Union is a socio-political organization within the political system, representing the legitimate rights and interests of all strata of Vietnamese women; striving for the development of women and gender equality.

5. Vietnam Veterans Association

The Vietnam Veterans Association is a socio-political organization, a member of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, a political base of the people's government, an organization within the political system led by the Communist Party of Vietnam, operating in accordance with the Party's guidelines and policies, the Constitution, the laws of the State, and the Association's Charter.

According to statistics, there are currently 30 mass organizations nationwide that have been assigned tasks and are subject to restructuring and streamlining.
