Admission methods of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology:
Method 1: Direct admission according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training and Ho Chi Minh City National University: 1-5% of total enrollment target.
Method 2: Priority admission according to regulations of Ho Chi Minh City National University: 10-15% of total enrollment target.
Method 3: Consider candidates with international admission certificates or foreign candidates (only applicable to English-taught, Advanced programs): 1-5% of total enrollment quota.
Method 4: Admission of candidates planning to study abroad in the International Transfer Program (Australia, New Zealand): 1-5% of total enrollment quota.
Method 5: Admission based on a combination of criteria: results of the competency assessment test, results of the high school graduation exam, high school grades, other competencies (certificates, awards): 60-90% of total enrollment target
Note:
- For candidates applying for English-taught programs, Advanced programs, International Transfer programs to Australia and New Zealand, candidates must meet the preliminary English requirements of IELTS ≥ 4.5/ TOEFL iBT ≥ 34/ TOEIC listening-reading ≥ 400 & speaking-writing ≥ 200/ Duolingo English Test (DET) ≥ 65/ Linguaskill ≥ 147/ PTE ≥ 153/ PET ≥ 153/ FCE ≥ 153/ CAE ≥ 153.
- Candidates admitted to the English-taught, Advanced, and International Transfer programs (Australia/New Zealand) need an IELTS certificate ≥ 6.0/ TOEFL iBT ≥ 79/ TOEIC listening - reading ≥ 730 & speaking - writing ≥ 280 to study the main program.
If not, candidates will be placed in an English class during the Pre-English semester to meet the standards.
- Candidates with IELTS certificate ≥ 5.0/ TOEFL iBT ≥ 46/ TOEIC listening - reading ≥ 460 and speaking - writing ≥ 200 will be converted to the corresponding score of English subject in the admission subject group A01, B08, D01, D07.
- Candidates can participate in the exam by one or more different methods.

Tuition fees are calculated by credit depending on the number of registered subjects. The average monthly tuition fee of the standard program is implemented according to the Government 's tuition fee regulations (Decree 81/2021/ND-CP on the mechanism for collection, management and tuition fee exemption and reduction policies). The average monthly tuition fee of the advanced program, the English-taught program is implemented according to the Decision approving the Project of VNU-HCM (Decision No. 1640/QD-DHQG-DH&SĐH dated August 28, 2014).
