What day do Can Tho students go to school?

Can Tho City People's Committee has just issued the timetable for the 2025-2026 school year for all levels of education in the area.

On August 21, news from the Office of the People's Committee of Can Tho City said that the City People's Committee has made an official decision on the time frame for the new school year 2025 - 2026 for preschool, general education and continuing education in the area.

Accordingly, preschool and primary school children will return to school on August 28, except for first graders, which will start 3 days earlier, on August 25.

Grade 9 and 12 students in Can Tho will return to school on August 22.

Middle school, high school and continuing education students will return to school on August 29, while grades 9 and 12 will return to school early on August 22. The city-wide opening ceremony is scheduled for September 5.

The first semester enrollment period for all levels of education begins on September 8. The second semester for preschool and primary education begins on January 12, 2026; the second semester for secondary, high school and vocational education begins on January 19, 2026.

Can Tho City People's Committee assigned the Director of the Department of Education and Training to direct the implementation of the plan, ensure that the curriculum is fully implemented, and flexibly decide to let students take time off in case of natural disasters, severe weather or epidemics and organize appropriate make-up classes.
