This year, the academy enrolls 3,644 students (an increase of 144 students compared to last year) for both the Hanoi headquarters and two branches in Bac Ninh and Phu Yen.
The school applies 5 admission methods including: Direct admission, review of academic records, review of 2025 high school graduation exam results, review of international certificates, review of results of competency assessment exams (V-SAT, HSA).
With direct admission, in addition to candidates who won first, second, or third prizes in national or international science and technology competitions for excellent students, the school will consider direct admission of candidates with disabilities, ethnic minorities with very few people, candidates from poor districts, foreigners, etc. based on their high school academic results.
In the high school transcript review method, candidates need to have good academic performance in grade 12, with an average score of three years of each subject in the admission group of 8 or higher.
When calculating admission scores, for standard and international joint programs, the common subjects between the groups are multiplied by a factor of 2. For high-quality programs, Math and English in the group are multiplied by a factor of 2. Candidates are given priority points according to the Ministry's regulations, along with incentive points from 0.5 to 1.5 if they win the national incentive prize, provincial award, or specialized student award. Candidates in many categories can accumulate incentive points but the maximum is 2 points.
The above method of calculating admission scores is also applied to the method of considering high school graduation exam scores. However, candidates using this method will not receive bonus points.
Banking Academy continues to consider international certificates. Candidates applying through this method must have excellent academic performance in grade 12, an average score of 8 or higher in three years of high school for each subject in the group, and have a SAT certificate of 1,200, IELTS 6.0, TOEFL iBT of 72 or higher.
In which, the requirement of academic transcript is a condition. Admission score will be calculated based on certificate score.
With the method based on competency assessment exams, Banking Academy uses the V-SAT university entrance exam scores and the Hanoi National University's competency assessment exam (HSA). Candidates can apply if they achieve an HSA score of 85 or higher, and a V-SAT score of three subjects in a group of 300 or higher.
Admission scores for all methods are converted to a 30-point scale according to the formula specified by the school.
This year's high school graduation exam will take place on June 26-27. 2025 is the year when the first batch of students under the new generaleducation program will take the high school graduation exam.
Candidates will take the exam in 4 subjects instead of 6 as before. The two compulsory subjects are Math and Literature; the two optional subjects are Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Geography, History, Economic and Legal Education, Information Technology, Technology and Foreign Languages (English, German, Russian, Japanese, French, Chinese, Korean). This is the first time that Information Technology and Technology (Industry, Agriculture) have become graduation exam subjects.
Regarding the formula for calculating graduation scores, exam scores account for 50%; the rest is the grade 10, 11 and 12 transcript scores (50%) and priority points if any. Compared to before, the transcript score increased by 20%.
The high school graduation exam results were announced on July 16, one day earlier than last year.
