On the occasion of the 77th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2024), on July 24, the Provincial Red Cross Association in coordination with a number of units, businesses and philanthropists visited and presented gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, relatives of martyrs and meritorious people in the province.
The delegation visited and presented gifts to 15 surviving Vietnamese heroic mothers and 20 relatives of martyrs in the province. At the places visited, the delegation kindly asked about their health, encouraged their spirits and expressed deep gratitude for the great contributions of the families to the cause of national liberation and reunification.
Ninh Binh province has 1,276 mothers who have been awarded or posthumously awarded the title of Vietnamese Heroic Mother. To date, only 15 mothers are still alive. Visiting and presenting gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, relatives of martyrs, and people with meritorious services to the revolution is an activity regularly carried out by the Provincial Red Cross Society in coordination with units, businesses, and philanthropists, especially on holidays, New Year, and commemorating War Invalids and Martyrs Day. Thereby, expressing deep gratitude to those who have contributed to the revolution, at the same time contributing to the good implementation of the Party and State's policies on gratitude, forever upholding the morality of "When drinking water, remember its source" of the Vietnamese people.
