National 'Sen Village Singing' Festival: Where art takes off from love for Uncle Ho

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the festival, Ms. Tran Thi My Hanh, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Nghe An affirmed that this is an opportunity for people across the country to express their respect and gratitude to Him. The festival is not only a special artistic event, but also a political and cultural activity with sacred significance; contributing to honoring the beautiful image of President Ho Chi Minh, and spreading the values ​​of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style through each song, melody and dance.

This is also a great festival of the mass art movement of the whole country - where the artistic souls, the passionate hearts from all over the country gather, sing together with works imbued with national identity, evoking national pride, arousing love for the homeland and country in each person. Through the festival, Nghe An introduces and promotes the cultural values, history, people and beautiful natural landscapes.

Established in 1981, the “Sen Village Singing Festival” has continuously spread strongly over the years, from the village and commune scale to the national scale. It is a journey to nurture deep feelings for Uncle Ho, honor the revolutionary musical heritage; contribute to spreading Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style to the community.

In 2025, the “Sen Village Singing Festival” will return to a national scale under the name of the “Sen Village Singing” Mass Art Performance, gathering 30 mass art troupes from the three regions of the North - Central - South. Each art troupe will bring its own nuances and identity. In addition to the lyrics, the performance space is also elaborately staged, applying modern stage technology, combining many props... creating a multi-layered emotional experience for the audience.

Despite differences in style and region, everyone shares a sacred sentiment - deep gratitude to Uncle Ho. With the gathering of nearly 1,000 mass artists from 3 regions of the country, this year's performance is not only a cultural meeting place but also a place where souls and art take off from love for the Fatherland and respect for President Ho Chi Minh.

The show will end and award prizes on May 19, 2025.
