Close to the location and facilities

Since July 1, along with the whole country, Lam Dong province has launched the 2025 Rural and Agricultural Census. The survey is being implemented urgently and methodically, ensuring the correct progress, quality and requirements.

Collecting investigation information in Ninh Gia commune

The 2025 Rural and Agricultural Census aims to collect basic information on agriculture, forestry, fisheries and rural areas to serve the compilation of national statistical indicators; compile socio-economic indicators; assess the current situation, analyze change trends, develop plans and strategies for rural development, agriculture, forestry and fisheries. The results of the Census will be an important database serving the planning of sustainable development policies in the new period.

Investigators stay on base to collect information

The Census was conducted in 1,685 localities across the province, with more than 248,000 households participating. Nearly 3,000 people were mobilized to participate in both phases: household listing (from March 1) and official survey (from July 1 to July 30). Of these, 1,849 people were mobilized to compile the listing, 1,743 investigators collected information from households and farms, 106 investigators were in charge of commune questionnaires, along with 137 team leaders and supervisors at the provincial and grassroots levels.

Mr. Dinh Van Hiep, an investigator in Xuan Hoa neighborhood, Binh Thuan ward, shared: “The area I am in charge of has 230 households. Along with propaganda through media and loudspeakers, I take advantage of neighborhood meetings, party cell meetings, association and mass organization activities to explain more to the people so that they can understand clearly. Some households work in the fields all day, and have to wait until late at night to be approached. Most of the people cooperate very well, helping me complete the task on schedule.”

Provincial Steering Committee for General Investigation supervises investigation at the grassroots level

Closely ensure progress and quality

Mr. Pham Quoc Hung - Head of the Provincial Statistics Office said that as of 5:00 p.m. on July 14, the whole province had completed 46.1% of household questionnaires and 35.5% of farm questionnaires. This progress is guaranteed according to the set plan. "The investigation work was carried out synchronously and methodically, thanks to the drastic participation of Party committees and authorities at all levels and the careful preparation from the fully trained investigation force to the timely arrangement of working equipment," said Mr. Hung.

Along with that, propaganda and information about the purpose and significance of the General Census have been promoted in many forms such as radio, television, grassroots loudspeaker systems, billboards, posters, social networks, etc. Thanks to that, people clearly understand and actively cooperate, providing complete and honest information. This is an important factor to ensure the progress and quality of information collected.

The General Census was identified as a key task, arranged appropriately to avoid overlap and interruption. The Steering Committees at all levels have proactively developed plans, clearly assigned responsibilities, and mobilized maximum local forces, especially grassroots investigators. However, the process of stabilizing the organization according to the new model has caused some communes and wards to not complete the Steering Committee, affecting the direction and operation, causing some areas to be behind schedule. In addition, at this time, people in many places are in the harvest season, so accessing households for investigation is not without difficulties.

To overcome this, the Provincial Statistics Office has increased its close monitoring of the area, closely monitored and provided timely support to team leaders and investigators, especially in localities with slow progress, to ensure progress, completion on schedule and the highest quality.
