From August 1st to 20th, Da Nang attracted a total domestic investment of nearly VND 77,400 billion, including 3 newly approved projects with a total capital of nearly VND 2,000 billion and 1 project with an increased capital of nearly VND 75,400 billion. Overall, in the first 8 months of 2025 (from January 1st to August 20th), the total domestic investment in Da Nang reached nearly VND 140,500 billion; including 72 newly approved projects with a capital of over VND 46,000 billion and 27 projects with increased capital of nearly VND 94,500 billion.

Overall, from the beginning of the year to August 20th, Da Nang City attracted 333.3 million USD in FDI capital; including 72 newly approved projects with registered capital of 225.9 million USD; 24 projects with adjusted capital increases or decreases totaling 86 million USD; and 29 instances of acquiring equity stakes in economic organizations with a total value of 21.5 million USD.
According to the Da Nang Statistics Department, thanks not only to its strategic location and gradually improving infrastructure but also to the open policies and commitment of the government, the city is gradually establishing itself as a dynamic, safe, and promising investment environment. This positive development creates an important foundation for the city to promote growth, expand cooperation, and aim for long-term development goals.
"Da Nang is asserting its position as an attractive investment destination thanks to its strategic geographical advantages, a progressively synchronized infrastructure system, a young and dynamic workforce, and an increasingly open policy environment. With a focus on attracting high-quality capital flows, the city aims to be a pioneer in developing the digital economy, building a smart city, and promoting green growth," the Da Nang Statistics Office stated.
The agency also stated that in August 2025, Da Nang City organized an investment promotion conference for the Free Trade Zone (FTZ) with the theme "Creating a Development Space with Da Nang FTZ". This event took place immediately after the Prime Minister issued Decision 1142/QD-TTg on the establishment of the Da Nang FTZ with a total area of 1,881 hectares, comprising 7 functional zones.
Each region plays a distinct role but all share the common goal of promoting international integration, applying superior preferential mechanisms in customs, taxation, logistics, investment, technology, and services, thereby forming a new growth pole for the Central and Central Highlands regions.
Bringing the Da Nang Freeway Zone into operation is not only a key immediate task but also a strategic step, opening up new development opportunities and creating sustainable momentum for the city's economy.
