Quang Nam Oriental Medicine Association thoroughly grasps Conclusion 86 of the Secretariat on developing Vietnamese traditional medicine

(QNO) - On March 27, in Tam Ky, the Quang Nam Province Oriental Medicine Association held a conference to implement Conclusion 86 of the Central Party Secretariat on the development of Vietnamese traditional medicine and the Vietnam Oriental Medicine Association in the new period.

Speaking at the opening of the conference, physician Tran Trung - Chairman of Quang Nam Oriental Medicine Association said, In the current context, promoting the value of traditional medicine, combined with modern medicine to meet the needs of health care and protection for the people is extremely necessary.

“Conclusion 86 has pointed out a number of important tasks and solutions to improve the effectiveness of traditional medicine in the new period. With the attention and direction of the Party and the State, the support and assistance of the Front and mass organizations, and the enthusiastic contributions of all members, I believe that Vietnamese traditional medicine will increasingly develop, contributing to the cause of caring for and protecting people's health,” said physician Tran Trung.

The conference listened to People's Physician - Associate Professor, Dr. Dau Xuan Canh - Chairman of the Vietnam Oriental Medicine Association, explain the contents of Conclusion 86 on the development of Vietnamese traditional medicine and the Vietnam Oriental Medicine Association in the new period.

Accordingly, the Secretariat requested Party committees, Party organizations, authorities, Fatherland Fronts and socio -political organizations at all levels to focus on effectively implementing Directive 24, Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress and policies on protecting and caring for people's health. At the same time, review, supplement and perfect relevant policies and laws, continue to specify policies on traditional medicine; innovate the management system, diversify and improve the quality of traditional medicine services; focus on training and developing traditional doctors and pharmacists...

“Researching, studying, thoroughly understanding and propagating Conclusion 86 aims to create unity and raise awareness of the position, role and importance of developing Vietnamese Oriental Medicine and the Vietnam Oriental Medicine Association in the new situation, contributing to improving the quality of people's health care associated with preserving and developing the treasure of traditional medicine, traditions and cultural identity of Vietnam” - Doctor Dau Xuan Canh affirmed.
