On July 7, the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) in Vinh Long province held the first conference of the Standing Committee of the VBS in the province after the merger. Attending the conference was Ms. Nguyen Thi Minh Trang - Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department.

Delegates listened to the conference approve the decision of the Executive Council of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha on the election of key leadership personnel; approve the list of personnel of the new Executive Board of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha of Vinh Long province (term 2022-2027).
Accordingly, elected Most Venerable Thach Sok Xane - Vice President of the Executive Council of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha to hold the position of Head of the Executive Council of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in Vinh Long province (term 2022-2027); elected 4 Most Venerables and Venerables to hold the position of Deputy Heads of the Executive Council of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in the province (term 2022-2027)...
Speaking at the conference, Ms. Nguyen Thi Minh Trang - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee proposed that the Provincial Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha continue to propagate and mobilize Buddhists to live a good life and practice religion, promote Dharma propagation in the digital age; actively accompany authorities at all levels in building new rural areas, civilized urban areas... contributing to improving the material and spiritual life of the people and Buddhists; effectively deploy models, replicate social charity programs, and care for the poor and disadvantaged.
At the same time, the provincial leaders hope that the Buddhist Sangha will continue to affirm its active role in ensuring national defense and security, maintaining political stability , and taking the lead in building the great national unity bloc. The Executive Committee will continue to be an important bridge between the government and monks, nuns, and Buddhists, promoting the exemplary role of clergy in mobilizing the masses to live exemplary and responsible lives, actively contributing to social consensus and stability.
