From June 18-20, 2024, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Vietnam Railways Corporation joined the delegation of the Ministry of Transport led by Deputy Minister Nguyen Danh Huy to attend the 51st OSJD Ministerial Conference in Warsaw, Poland.
The Conference was attended by representatives from 22/28 OSJD member countries. Mr. Miroslaw Antonowicz, Chairman of the OSJD Committee chaired the Conference.
The Ministerial Conference noted the implementation of the OSJD Program and Work Plan for 2023, approved the 2023 Activity Report, discussed the 2024 activity plan, the 2025 work program, the following years and other related issues.
In addition to participating in the activities of the Ministerial Conference, on June 19, the Chairman of the Board of Directors had a working session with representatives of Polish Railways (State Railway Group (PKP), PKP Intercity Long-distance Passenger Transport Company, PKP PLK Railway Infrastructure Management Company and CPK sp. Company to exchange experiences and information on management, exploitation and operation of the national railway network and experience in preparing, implementing investment, selecting technology and standards applicable to high-speed railways in Poland as well as promoting good cooperation between the railways of the two countries, especially in the field of international freight transport.
During his stay in Warsaw, the Chairman of the Board of Directors also attended working sessions with the Vietnamese Ambassador to Poland, the Association of Vietnamese Enterprises in Poland and large Vietnamese enterprises in Poland to exchange and update information on the economic and political situation of Poland, Vietnamese enterprises in Poland in general and the potential for cooperation with Vietnam Railways Corporation in particular in cooperation and development of international freight transport by rail.
The 51st OSJD Ministerial Conference was a great success, and the Conference agreed to hold the 52nd Conference in China.
