The event brought together more than 500 delegates, including investors, government officials, business leaders, representatives of small and medium enterprises (SMEs), multinational corporations, academics and the media, to discuss and orient strategies in the context of ever-changing trade, investment and sustainable growth.

The conference focused on key topics such as responding to US tariffs, geopolitical uncertainties and Vietnam’s role as a leading dynamic economy in ASEAN. Experts discussed how Vietnam can leverage its competitive advantages to diversify its economy and export markets, develop sustainable infrastructure, promote an inclusive workforce and implement a gender-lens investment strategy. The exhibition area for investors and businesses, including a startup showcase, was an opportunity to promote innovation and strengthen collaboration.
The first day of the conference focused on discussing strategies to help Vietnam achieve its socio -economic development goals amid global geopolitical uncertainties and the growth potential of the domestic market. Key topics included mission orientation, market diversification, workforce development, sustainable urban development, enhancing industry resilience, and adopting ESG best practices.
The second day saw in-depth discussions focusing on how investors, governments and the private sector can leverage Vietnam’s competitive advantages and available resources to promote gender-sensitive investment across all asset classes, develop the digital economy and artificial intelligence, build green and socially inclusive supply chains, sustainable finance and e-Mobility.

Ms. Sarah Hooper - Australian Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City, gave the opening speech and emphasized the power of collaboration: “The global transition towards Net-Zero can only be achieved when investors, governments and civil society work closely together. Australia continues to support a number of initiatives in Vietnam to leverage private sector investment alongside government funding to achieve impactful outcomes.”
The conference also includes other activities such as the Tech Pitch Session for innovative startups, a high-end luncheon with a sustainable menu prepared by two chefs from New World Saigon Hotel and Tales by Chapter, along with a post-conference networking party at Vietnamese Eatery & Lounge, creating an opportunity for investors, business leaders, government representatives and startups to connect on a shared commitment to ESG investing, sustainable growth and the Net-Zero goal.
Ms. Van Ly - Partner at Raise Partners shared: “In a turbulent global context, Vietnam is facing a significant opportunity to promote sustainable growth. Changes in the market, clarity on ESG and private sector reforms such as Resolution 68 present transformational opportunities. This year’s Vietnam ESG Investment Conference has fostered robust dialogues, leading to concrete actions to create strong impacts, as Vietnam enters an era of responsible and diversified growth.”

In collaboration with environmental partners, the conference implemented green initiatives to reduce its carbon footprint and offset emissions. This commitment included a reduction in single-use plastics, smart recycling systems, energy-saving solutions, waste minimization practices, sustainable catering and environmentally friendly production materials. Safety, health and security were given top priority, and attendees were encouraged to voluntarily contribute to the Quang Tri Province carbon offset program, aiming for the event’s Net-Zero goal.
This year’s conference demonstrated that ESG is a solid foundation for Vietnam’s sustainable development and a lever for impactful investment opportunities in strategic sectors such as energy, infrastructure, logistics and human resources. The Net-Zero vision is not only expressed through thematic discussions, but also through the way the event is run and organized.
