Mainoo is nurturing World Cup dreams and wants to regain his star status in the Three Lions squad ahead of the major tournament taking place next summer.

At Euro 2024, Mainoo stepped into the spotlight with his poise, starting the final against Spain. However, he has been left out by coach Thomas Tuchel since replacing Gareth Southagte.

The German coach's decision to ignore Mainoo comes from the fact that the 20-year-old has had too few opportunities to play recently.

Kobbie Mainoo struggled in coach Amorim's new tactical system and his career has gradually declined over the past 12 months.

Amid that series of disappointments, if the situation does not improve, Mainoo wants to leave Old Trafford on loan in the next winter transfer window.

The England midfielder has made just four appearances this season, with his sole start coming in the embarrassing defeat to Grimsby in the EFL Cup.

Last summer, Mainoo himself wanted to leave but was prevented by the Red Devils leadership. Coach Amorim asked his student to compete for a position with captain Bruno Fernandes.

Mainoo accepted the decision and tried to regain his position. However, by this time, he realized that nothing seemed to have changed.

If he continues to be unused by Amorim, Mainoo will have no choice but to request a transfer when the winter market opens.
