Messi's facial expressions correspond to the results of each test. |
The protagonist is Camila Brambilla, a beloved young teacher at a local high school. In a video posted to TikTok titled “My Favorite Part of Grading,” she shows test papers adorned with a range of Messi expressions – from a beaming smile after a victory, to a frown, surprise or disappointment, depending on the results of each student.
The clip quickly went viral, attracting hundreds of thousands of views and comments. Many people could not hide their excitement at the teacher's creative and humorous idea. One account commented: "Now I really want to learn", another wrote: "If all teachers were like her, school would definitely be much more fun". Some fans even joked: "Messi not only scores goals, but also gives grades".
Camila said this wasn’t her first time using visual grading. She’s tried a variety of similar methods in the past, from fun stickers to pop culture memes, to make grading more engaging, relatable, and inspiring.
"I just want them to see that learning doesn't have to be boring. If Messi can bring joy to his fans, why can't he bring some joy to my class?" she shared.
Camila's creativity not only delights students but also receives support from parents and colleagues. Many praise her for finding a way to "touch the world " of students. There, football, social media and idols are all in one.
