GREEN CONSTRUCTION – THE TREND OF THE NEW ERA

In the world , green building development has become an inevitable development standard, with prestigious certificates such as GREEN MARK, EDGE or LOTUS. In Vietnam, in recent years, the growth rate of green buildings has been recorded strongly.

Green projects are planned and developed based on the principles of efficient energy use, energy-saving construction materials, reduction of greenhouse gas emissions, increase of green trees and water surface, efficient water use, while ensuring health, comfort and quality of life of residents. This is a trend that reflects the long-term vision of investors towards sustainable development values.

The year 2024 will see a strong breakthrough in green buildings, with 163 certified buildings, 2.1 times higher than in 2023 and 3 times higher than in 2022 - demonstrating the inevitable trend in the Vietnamese construction industry. The Government has issued Decree 15/2021/ND-CP with many priority policies to promote green buildings, with criteria on energy efficiency, resource saving and environmental protection throughout from design to operation. These policies are creating a solid foundation to attract investment and encourage large enterprises to participate in the field of sustainable construction.

Green buildings in Vietnam have increased sharply in recent years.

However, high initial investment costs remain a challenge to overcome. However, green buildings bring long-term economic efficiency, helping to save 20-40% of monthly operating costs thanks to optimal design and technology. According to a representative of Savills Hanoi, training high-quality human resources will play a decisive role in helping Vietnam promote sustainable green building development in the coming years.

Experts say that Vietnamese homebuyers today are willing to pay more for projects that meet the criteria of “green living – healthy living”. For investors, green buildings also bring long-term value thanks to their high liquidity, good price retention and easy access to sustainable investment capital.

VIETNAM REAL ESTATE TOWARDS A SUSTAINABLE URBAN FUTURE

Green buildings are no longer a temporary trend, but have become the new standard of the modern real estate industry. As customers increasingly value health and quality of life, and as the State strongly encourages sustainable development models, any business that quickly grasps and systematically invests in green criteria will have a long-term competitive advantage.

In Nghe An, some urban areas developed by Eurowindow Holding meet green building criteria such as the super high-end urban area Eurowindow Sport Garden, the upscale urban area Eurowindow Central Avenue, both located in the center (Vinh city), the capital of Nghe An province.

These projects are planned with large green areas, using environmentally friendly and energy-saving materials such as Eurowindow glass doors combined with safety glass, Low-E heat-insulating glass - a material that can block up to 96% of UV rays and reduce about 40% of heat absorption, helping to soundproof, insulate, and save electricity; using renewable energy such as solar power; applying wastewater treatment technology that meets A standards, the treated water can be used to water plants; smart waste collection system.

With a sustainable development strategy, Eurowindow Holding not only contributes to creating green buildings of stature, but also joins hands with society to build the future of Vietnamese urban areas - where people live in harmony with nature, civilized and prosperous.
