The project involved migrating VPBank ’s existing system to the latest version of Temenos core banking, hosted on Red Hat OpenShift. The upgrade involved migrating over 18 million customer accounts and millions of loan records. Despite the large scale, the migration was completed in a single cut-off time of under 24 hours.

This modernization has brought about major improvements in VPBank’s operations. By moving its application architecture to the cloud with Red Hat OpenShift, the bank now operates in a fully cloud-based environment, unlocking new levels of agility, resilience, and operational efficiency.
The platform helps VPBank bring new products to market faster, integrate more easily with external partners and deliver richer digital experiences through improved reliability and performance. The transformation also brings significant cost savings through process automation, resource optimization and reduced IT costs.
