Many banks have profits of more than 10,000 billion VND after 3 quarters

The banking industry continues to have stable and sustainable growth with pre-tax profits reaching tens of thousands of billions of VND after 9 months of business.

As of the afternoon of October 29, 18 banks announced their business results for the third quarter of 2025. Among them, some banks had accumulated pre-tax profits of more than VND10,000 billion.

Techcombank is temporarily leading with pre-tax profit in the third quarter reaching nearly VND8,300 billion. Accumulated in the first 9 months, this bank had pre-tax profit reaching nearly VND23,400 billion, up 2.4% over the same period last year.

Coming in at number 2 is MB Bank with pre-tax profit for the first 9 months reaching over 23,100 billion VND, up 12% over the same period last year. The next bank with "huge" profit is VPBank with pre-tax profit for the first 9 months reaching nearly 20,400 billion VND, up 47% over the same period last year.

The next two banks with pre-tax profits of more than VND10,000 billion are ACB andSHB . ACB Bank has accumulated pre-tax profits for the first 9 months of more than VND16,000 billion, up 5% over the same period last year. SHB Bank has accumulated profits for the first 9 months of more than VND12,200 billion, up 35% over the same period last year.

Ranked right below are banks such as LPBank, VIB, SeaBank with accumulated pre-tax profit for 9 months reaching 6,700 - 9,600 billion VND.

Notable on the ranking is the strong rise of an average bank, ABBank. This bank has a cumulative pre-tax profit of more than 2,300 billion VND in the first 9 months, an increase of 872% compared to the same period last year. Nearly 9 times growth is an impressive figure in the third quarter financial report of this year of the banking industry.

At the bottom of the list, banks with accumulated profits for the first 9 months of less than VND1,000 billion include PGBank, BVBank, SaigonBank and BaoViet Bank. Of which, BaoViet Bank recorded the lowest accumulated profit, only VND59 billion, but still increased by 81% compared to the same period last year.
