In the first 6 months of 2025, Kien Thuy District Party Committee has focused on leading and directing key political tasks, effectively implementing the 2025 Resolution and the proposed work programs. The district has paid special attention to innovating leadership, management and operation methods; promoting the implementation of key projects and works; arranging and perfecting the organizational apparatus in the political system; at the same time, accelerating the arrangement of commune-level administrative units and fully preparing conditions to deploy the 2-level local government model from July 1, 2025.
The district successfully organized the Ceremony to receive the Certificate of National Special Relic Recognition for the Mac Dynasty Relic Complex and the Ceremony to announce the Prime Minister 's Decision recognizing the district as meeting advanced new rural standards in 2024, combined with the summary of 10 years of implementing Directive 05-CT/TW of the 12th Politburo. Along with that, activities to take care of the Lunar New Year for the people; ensure security and order, environmental sanitation, fire prevention and fighting... were implemented synchronously and effectively, contributing to improving the quality of people's lives and maintaining stability in the area.
The socio -economic development of Kien Thuy district continued to maintain its growth momentum with many targets achieved and exceeded compared to the same period. The value of agricultural, forestry and fishery production reached 819.3 billion VND, equal to 102.1% over the same period last year. Industrial production recorded impressive growth, reaching 603.5 billion VND, equal to 112.9% over the same period. Total retail sales of goods reached 4,277.9 billion VND; revenue from accommodation and catering services reached 515.1 billion VND, both increased by more than 14% over the same period, reflecting the strong recovery of the consumer and service markets.
Budget revenue in the area reached 312.16 billion VND, equivalent to 74.57% of the annual estimate. Disbursement of public investment capital reached more than 273 billion VND, equivalent to 29.4% of the plan, an area that needs continued attention and difficulties to be resolved in the coming time.
Regarding the construction of model new rural areas, the whole district has 7/7 communes registered to meet 100% of the criteria for new rural areas and advanced new rural areas; 4/5 criteria for model new rural areas have completed their documents and submitted them to the city for appraisal. This result shows the great efforts and determination of the Party Committee, government and people of Kien Thuy district in implementing the goals of sustainable rural development.
Speaking at the Conference, Comrade Do Duc Hoa, Secretary of Kien Thuy District Party Committee emphasized: After 81 years of construction and development, under the leadership of Party committees at all levels, together with the solidarity and consensus of the entire political system and the People, Kien Thuy district has achieved many outstanding achievements in the fields of socio-economics, national defense - security, Party building and a clean and strong political system. Those results are a solid foundation for the district to confidently enter a new development stage under the two-level local government model, starting from July 1, 2025.
At the Conference, Comrade Do Duc Hoa, Secretary of Kien Thuy District Party Committee, called on all cadres, party members, civil servants, public employees and workers in the area to continue promoting the tradition of solidarity and unity, upholding the spirit of responsibility, pioneering and being exemplary in performing tasks.
He requested all levels and sectors to maintain political and ideological stability; strictly and correctly implement the handover of organizations, tasks, and assets when converting the organizational model; and at the same time be ready to receive and successfully complete tasks in the two-level local government apparatus, contributing to building an increasingly streamlined, effective, and efficient political system./.
