Provincial Farmers' Association commends advanced models

Delegates congratulated typical advanced collectives and individuals in the emulation movement of the Provincial Farmers' Association for the period 2020-2025.

Imbued with Uncle Ho's thought: "Emulation is patriotism, patriotism requires emulation, those who emulate are the most patriotic", in the past 5 years, the emulation movement of farmers' associations at all levels in the province has been widely deployed, achieving practical results; creating motivation for cadres and members of farmers' associations to promote the fine tradition of "diligence, creativity, solidarity" of the Vietnamese peasant class, contributing their strength and intelligence to build their homeland to develop more and more.

Farmers' associations at all levels in the province have made many innovations and creativity in organizing emulation movements; the emulation content is rich, practical, close to the core tasks of the association and the socio-economic development goals of the province, meeting the requirements and aspirations of cadres, members and farmers. Typical movements include: "Farmers compete in production, good business, unite to help each other get rich and reduce poverty sustainably"; " Quang Ninh farmers join hands to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas"; "Farmers participate in ensuring national defense and security, maintaining security and order, and social safety in rural areas"...

Comrade Nguyen Xuan Dinh, Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Union , spoke at the conference.

From the practical movement, many models of farmers applying science and technology to production and product consumption have been formed and developed, in which the OCOP Program has affirmed the unique features of Quang Ninh with nearly 500 OCOP products meeting 3-5 star standards; 100% of OCOP products meeting standards are put on e-commerce platforms, gradually reaching out to domestic and international markets.

In their speech, the leaders of the Vietnam Farmers' Union and comrade Trinh Thi Minh Thanh, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, acknowledged, commended, highly appreciated, and sincerely thanked the outstanding efforts and great contributions of all levels of the association and farmers' union members in the whole province who have enthusiastically competed to promote internal strength, creative labor, and production to contribute to the overall development of Quang Ninh.

With the goal of "Building Quang Ninh to be rich, civilized, modern, happy, soon becoming a city directly under the Central Government, by 2045 becoming one of the country's important economic locomotives, confidently and steadily advancing in the new era of development", the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, requested the emulation movement in all levels of the association and cadres and members of farmers in the whole province to focus on implementing well 6 key tasks. Notably, maintaining the emulation spirit, continuing the good development momentum in the emulation movements, the campaigns that have been strongly aroused in all levels of the association in recent times to innovate the content and form of patriotic emulation movements among farmers to ensure practicality, effectiveness, linked to each locality, each type of production, avoiding formality. Discover, nurture, build, replicate, and honor typical collective and individual models, typical advanced examples, creative breakthroughs in labor and production, gradually shifting from small-scale production to developed household economy, farm economy, agricultural enterprises, and new-style cooperatives.

In addition, promote the emulation of applying science and technology, innovation in agricultural and rural economic development in the spirit of Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW dated December 22, 2024 of the Politburo and Action Program No. 46-CTr/TU dated January 15, 2025 of the Provincial Party Standing Committee; guide members and farmers to apply digital technology, build models of ecological agricultural production, green agriculture, organic agriculture, circular agriculture, smart agriculture; agriculture combined with industry; agriculture combined with services, creating many safe and high-quality agricultural products.

Focus on reviewing and rearranging the organizational apparatus in the spirit of Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW dated October 25, 2017 of the Party Central Committee; actively coordinate with the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations to complete the project "Arranging and streamlining the Vietnam Fatherland Front, socio-political organizations, and mass organizations assigned by the Party and the State at the provincial and communal levels" according to the Central's guidance. Innovate the content and methods of operation of the Farmers' Association at all levels, focusing on the grassroots level; regularly closely follow, proactively grasp, receive, listen to opinions, promptly resolve the recommendations and legitimate aspirations of members and farmers; build trust, create cohesion between members and farmers and the organization.

Through emulation movements, continue to care for building a strong Quang Ninh peasant class, promote the role of farmers as the main subject in building advanced new rural areas, model new rural areas, and sustainably reduce poverty according to the province's criteria.

At the conference, the Vietnam Farmers' Union and the Provincial Farmers' Union honored 16 collectives and 44 typical advanced individuals in the emulation movements for the period 2020-2025, and launched the emulation movement for the period 2025-2030.
